
Zé Lopes
At the age of 57, the then retired trucker in search of tranquility and quiet invests his savings in a small 30 ha estate, his intention was to have a refuge from the rush of travel times, but life reserved something more for him.
The property had no energy or water, much less specialized technical assistance, the region had no great tradition in the production of quality coffees. Even with the difficulties José Lopes and his children managed to form more than 50,000 coffee seedlings bringing water from the city to the farm.
The crops were coming and the potential for the production of quality coffees of the farm was becoming increasingly evident as their children Geraldo Magela and Paulo took over the administration of Vista Alegre Farm.
The farm has been developing with new acquisitions and technologies arriving today with 160ha of coffee plantation, UTZ certified, Rainforest, Certified Mines and Organic BR, serving demanding international markets and consolidating in the region with example of management, sustainability and unity.
Union that is confused with the history of the farm while the grandchildren of José Lopes, now 92 years old, are part of the production of the farm and guarantee the perpetuation of the business built with so much effort times before.
